Heir Island Retreats
Spring, St Patrick’s weekend,17-19th March 2017 (full)
Summer, June 30th -2nd July 2017 ( 1 place remaining)
Come join me on a weekend dedicated to self-care. All too often we are the first to advise others to take time for themselves to help balance our fast paced lives. Unfortunately, it’s not many of us that heed our own advice. Here on this magical island is your opportunity to unplug, rest and repair. By investing this time in yourself, you ensure you can show up best for all those important people that we share these wise words with.
This weekend is open to students of all levels, whether coming to yoga for the first time or more experience, suitable for adults and teenagers.

This was my first yoga retreat and I wasn't sure what to expect. I booked into the retreat with my 3 teenage children - 2 of whom had never tried yoga before. We each took something different from this wonderful experience of stepping away from the mainland and on to the effortless island of Heir Island. Heir Island itself is well worth the short ferry trip. Ian however, ensured the whole weekend was truly wonderful as he organised everything with thought, care and of course absolutely no force which must have taken so much work and planning. We all got to know ourselves and each other a little bit more and I felt so fortunate as we all discovered simple joys: the wildness of the cliffs, the beauty of the beaches, new friendships, friendly donkeys, journaling, colouring, Rocko the Dog, massages, wonderful food, super hosts, kayaking and yoga classes. The weekend left me smiling from the inside out and I am so looking forward to revisiting in July. Thank you, Ian:)
Thank you, Ian, for a fantastic weekend on our Yoga Retreat on Heir IslandI was a little apprehensive when I decided to bite and bullet and go on the yoga retreat to Heir Island but boy am I glad I did.A weekend was filled with authentic and relaxed hospitality in an unparalleled setting. Met some really lovely people and enjoyed some great laughs. The skipper said to me "welcome to the real world" as I boarded the ferry to Heir Island on St. Paddys day and he didn't lie. Heir Island and the Möbius Centre is a little bit of paradise. The stormy weather just added to the beauty of the place the views of the Atlantic were astounding.Every morning we awakened the senses with some Hatha Flow, followed by some more Yoga in the evening and relaxed with some Yoga Nidra before tucking up for the night.Kevin and his lovely wife in the sailing school allow us to indulge in some fabulous vegetarian food. And I enjoyed so much the opportunity to go kayaking under the watching eye of Kevin.I would recommend this weekend to everyone.Ommmmm Shanti Shanti Shanti
Thanks again for the lovely weekend on Heir Island. It was fabulous from the moment we stepped onto the ferry with the greeting 'welcome to the real world' from the skipper to when we stepped back off it...The island was just gorgeous with lovely scenery, beaches, lane ways, seascapes, wildness to savour...The accommodation at the Heir Island sailing school was excellent with our hosts Kevin and his wife and their new baby, who were a treasure to meet. Their cosy welcoming hospitality along with Kevin's ever ready jeep available for lifts was most appreciated! As for the beautiful Mobius Centre where our yoga classes took place..it was just perfect..looking out on the sea and landscape...as you do yoga...Even though I didn't take part in the kayaking it was great to watch and everyone seemed to be really enjoying it.As always your yoga classes early in the morning, (which was new for me) afternoon/evening and at night were just food for the soul....you are a wonderful mentor and always make sure to cater for all abilities. Thank you for a wonderful time out, a relaxing weekend in 'the real world' !!
